The Social Network

Mark Zuckerberg got wealth and fame by founding and succeeding facebook. He made a tool to connect with a lot of people. By using it, people get opportunities to spread their communities, it changed the world. Although The Social Network seems successful story, there are some sad scenes. For example, his best friend, Eduardo, sued Mark to take back the name as a co-founder. In addition, Cameron Winklevos and Tyler Winklevos also sued Mark, because they insisted that he stole their idea.

Mark tried to make a tool to connect with people, as a result, he was successful doing it. By the spread of facebook, an extent of the community was expanded, people’s connections was enforced. However, Mark lost some connection by founding and developing Facebook. I think it is a tragic paradox. Through these complicated and sad processes, he became a billionaire.  Through the film, I felt that success and sacrifice go hand in hand. Mark was succeeded. On the other hand, he was distressed by the complicated relationships.

In addition, I think the film emphasizes Mark’s ability to creative. There are some scenes that Mark has a great creativity and different from others. For example, the scene Mark was praised and said that you would be Bill Gates by someone because his idea of the facebook was great. It shows that Mark has a special ability to create new things, it is prominent. On the other hand, Eduardo was jealous of Mark. This scene expresses the comparison of ability between Mark(a person who has a great ability) and Eduardo(an ordinary person). We can see the way to think of merit system from the film.
